What the critics have said about Fabulous Ride... |
"Ward's physicality and dexterity dominate...Deft and textured performances"
- FringeNYC |
"An extraordinary series of character sketches created with remarkable skill...A gallery of human faces through which our collective anxieties and fears are refracted and, finally, purged. A striking, angry, funny, touching, satiric and political work that puts the first decade of AIDS into a startling dramatic context...Ward's acting is virtuosic, transforming himself from character to character without ever missing a beat."

Comments from program directors: |
| An incredibly powerful, moving and uplifting experience...portraying through all of the characters the anguish, hope and strength that our community has been experiencing over the past 20 years. You managed to captivate, entertain and move everyone in attendance." |
Eric Rodriguez, Executive Director Body Positive, Inc. (NYC) |
| "It is no exaggeration for me to say that all in attendance were deeply moved by your performance. I can't imagine a more meaningful way of closing our program." |
Ami Israel, Director CDC National AIDS Hotline Connections '96 Conference |
| "The accolades that I received from the participants was overwhelming. I am confident that it set a precedent that will be hard to duplicate in years to come." |
Michael A. Chase, Conference Coordinator Erie County Medical Center Tri-State Conference on AIDS |
| "You are a truly gifted performer. The show was so well received that we have decided to make it an annual event." |
Veronica Haywood, Director of Development Positive Directions, Inc. (Boston) |
| "Thanks so much for such a powerful performance! You managed to catch the eighties with startling Reality. Fabulous Ride does important work in revitalizing the friends and family we all have seen taken by AIDS. Even the youngest of the college students I talked with seemed to be profoundly touched by your work." |
